What To Expect
About an hour prior to the procedure, we ask patients to apply a topical anesthetic cream to the target area. Once you’re numb, your skin is cleansed and dried. Then, based on what issue you’re trying to treat, an active serum is applied. We highly recommend adding PRP to this treatment. The addition of PRP to microneedling will help speed up the healing process and stimulate skin renewal. Microneedling works by applying sterile microneedles deep into the dermis of the skin. The tiny needles create microscopic channels deep within the dermis to stimulate the natural production of collagen.
What To Expect Afterwards
Post-treatment, your skin may appear red and inflamed. This can last up to 48 hours. You may see redness, swelling, crusting, tightness, and sensitivity for about three days, sometimes lasting longer.
